Overview of the module
This guide walks you through a complete Credit Underwriting Module, from connecting the module to Finverity to reading the final risk score. Each chapter covers one stage of the process and matches a tab in the assessment workspace.
How the module works
The Credit Underwriting Module helps you assess the financial health and risk profile of your corporate borrowers. It reads the borrower's financial documents and transaction data, calculates financial ratios and behavioural metrics, and combines them into a single risk score out of 100.
Every assessment follows the same six stages. Each stage has its own tab in the assessment workspace:
Stage | Where | What you do |
|---|---|---|
1. Set up (once) | Profile menu > Settings | Connect the module to Finverity and apply your branding. Super administrators only. |
2. Start | Dashboard | Create a new assessment and choose the borrower. |
3. Add data | Upload tab | Select or upload the borrower's financial documents and transaction files, then run the analysis. |
4. Check | OCR Review tab | Check the figures read from the documents and correct anything that is wrong or missing. |
5. Analyse | Analysis tab | Review ratios, cash flow and transaction behaviour against your benchmarks. |
6. Score | Scoring tab | See the final score, the risk level and what drove the result. |
A seventh tab, Config, lets authorised users adjust how the score is calculated so that it matches your credit policy. See chapter 8.
