How to Configure Currency-specific Account Overrides
When a deal involves instruments in multiple currencies — for example, both USD and AED invoices — the bank may need to use different bank accounts depending on the currency of each transaction. A USD disbursement should go out from the USD source account and land in the supplier's USD beneficiary account. An AED disbursement should use AED accounts on both sides.
Currency-specific account overrides are available on three account types: the beneficiary account (where funds are sent to), the collection account (where repayments are received), and the source account (where funds are drawn from).
This guide explains how to configure these overrides and how the platform resolves which account to use at disbursement and repayment time.

How to Configure Currency-specific Account Overrides
Step 1 — Set the Default Accounts
Before adding currency overrides, ensure the deal has default accounts configured:
Navigate to Deal Settings → Disbursement & Repayment.
Set the default Beneficiary Account and its payment settings (payment method, charge bearer, purpose codes).
Set the default Collection Account.
Set the default Source Account. Save. These defaults will be used for any currency that does not have a specific override.
Step 2 — Add Currency-specific Source Account Overrides
Use this when disbursements in different currencies should be funded from different source accounts (e.g. a USD nostro account for USD disbursements).
In the Source Account section, click + Add currency override.
Select the Instrument Currency and the Source Account for that currency. Save.
Source account remains deal-level only — it cannot be set per counterparty.

Step 3 - Add Currency-specific Beneficiary Account Overrides
Use this when suppliers have separate bank accounts for different currencies — e.g. a supplier with both a USD and an AED account.
In Deal Settings → Disbursement & Repayment → Beneficiary Account section, find the Currency-specific account overrides sub-section.
Click + Add currency override.
Select the Instrument Currency (e.g. USD).
Select the Beneficiary Account for that currency.
Configure the payment settings specific to this account:
Payment Method (e.g. SWIFT for USD, SEPA for EUR,
Internal Transfer for AED)
Charge Bearer — OUR, SHA, or BEN (shown/hidden based on payment method) Payment
Purpose Code — local or international (shown/hidden based on payment method)
AFAQ/FX settings if applicable (only shown for Regional Transfer)
Repeat for each additional currency. Save.

Step 4 - Add currency-specific Collection Account Override
Use this when repayments for different currencies should be received into different accounts.
In the Collection Account section, click + Add currency override.
Select the Instrument Currency and the Collection Account for that currency.
Save. No payment settings are required for collection overrides — only the account.

Step 5 - Per-counterparty Overrides
If the deal uses separate beneficiary or collection accounts per counterparty, currency overrides can also be added at the counterparty level.
Navigate to Deal Settings → Counterparties and open the Add/Edit Counterparty dialog.
In the Beneficiary section, add currency overrides for that counterparty — each with its own account and full payment settings.
In the Collection section, add currency overrides — account only, no payment settings needed.
Save. Counterparty-level overrides apply only to instruments from that counterparty. Other counterparties are unaffected.
