API Record Override — Per Entity & Extended Fields

API Record Override allows specific API consumers to update designated fields on platform records (companies, deals, instruments, counterparties, payment settings) via the API. This feature is configured by Finverity and does not require portal admin navigation.

How It Works

Finverity configures which entity types and fields each API consumer is permitted to override.
The API consumer sends a PATCH/PUT request to the relevant endpoint with the fields they are permitted to override.
If the consumer does not have permission to override a field, the request is rejected with an appropriate error.
All overrides are recorded in the entity's audit trail.
